I bought a seat-filler ticket to Line last night, but when I got to the theater, they told me because of an illness, the show was canceled for a couple of weeks. The owner of the theater talked me into buying a ticket for the fill-in, a guy who "imitates all the great old comedians, like Ray Bolger." 'Wait a minute, lady,' I thought, 'how old do you think . . . goddammit, I know who Ray Bolger is, give me a ticket.' But then it was only me and one other guy, so Ray Fauxlger wouldn't perform either!
