I just went to wikipedia to look up wiki. The universe collapses in on itself.

Best Broadway bargain--I saw Tony nominated Passing Strange yesterday on a $20 rush ticket, which came to $26 with fees. I've seen shows for that little before, but it was toward the end of a run, and the seats were in the back row of the balcony, this was Orchestra row J, baby. That left me plenty of dough to enjoy two glasses of sauvignon blanc across the street at the aptly named Bistro, where they have display stands holding hard boiled eggs, and baskets of green apples. Not my experience in Real Europe, where if they set a pat of butter on your table, it's a la carte, but it was neato.

Passing Strange was good because of the author/star, Stew, but the story was kind of young for me. I read a review that said it had this challenging idea about Art, but the show I saw was about a self-pitying kid who moves to Europe where every woman he meets gives him drugs and sex. Oh, and he's black, and he mentions it every five minutes, as in "Every day is hell for a black man in America". Still hell with the Tony nom, Stew?
